Who gets the heart?
Nina, a sixteen old girl born with a defective heart, only child of Stephen and Barbara Simon, an avid reader and pianist who looks forward to attending the Juliard School in New York City when she graduates high school. Her parents are cancer specialists at John Hopkins Medical Center and I think if they could’ve gotten her a new heart, they would have gotten much earlier. This girl has no record of drug use or alcohol, has a plan for her future, and can get the funds for whatever she plans to do in the future. By my opinion I think Nina would be a great advocate for this heart.
I think Nina deserves this transplant because she is the youngest candidate and she has the best chance of making something of her life. If Nina does end up going to Juliard School in New York she will be able to do almost anything she wants. If she does that, she could have chance at become someone that could end up helping troubled people. Also, Nina’s parents could most likely help her get into anything she wanted.
Nina’s parents are cancer specialists at John Hopkins Medical Center and they probably have plenty of funds and friends that could most likely help Nina get a heart, but Nina is sixteen and her parents have probably tried to find a heart for her all her life. She was born with a defective heart and there is no way her parents could not have known that when she was born, so by what I think, her parents have been and are still trying to find a heart for her.
Nina has no records of drug abuse or alcohol in her past and is most likely very compliant with her treatment plans for her heart. Nina might live another seven years without a new heart most likely because she has been taking good care of her heart and if she gets a new heart,...
