Report on Understanding the Organisational Purposes of Businesses
The aim of this report is to give an insight into different types of organisation varying from private sector through to public sector, their sizes and operating environments, then picking one organisation, ATS Euromaster, show how this company meets stakeholder obligations and the policies it makes and follows.
1.1. Identify the purposes of different types of business organisations
Organisations are classified into three categories.
Public sector organisations provide essential services to members of the public which are for the benefit of the community, such as NHS providing medical services, these services are funded by public money such as taxes and National Insurance contributions. These organisations are run by central government down to local government. These services provided are normally free at the point of delivery point.
* Local Authority Services include educational such as schools and recreation services such as parks, leisure centres .Environmental and conservational services, which are more likely to be taken on by outside sources such as English Heritage.
