Parent I shared my pamphlet with: 37 year old female mother of 4 children that has just had her fourth child 5 weeks ago. Ethnicity is Asian/Mexican and she has her associates in science as a licensed vocation nurse. She enjoyed the pamphlet but asked for more statistical data regarding the benefits of not smoking be added to the pamphlet. We shared the pamphlet with her 16 year old daughter who was amazed that second hand smoke can cause SIDS and ear infections.
If I was to do this again I would have taken more time in me research to add more facts about the benefits of smoking cessation classes and tips on how to stop. I would have also looked into more community resources that are free to the public that anyone can use.
