Personal Responsibility and You

    Personal responsibility means to take responsibility for your actions and to accept the consequences that come from those actions. There are several reasons why one should be responsible academically. If you are not responsible you could fail and it could also affect others, if you are part of a team. If you take responsibility and accept what is, then you can succeed.
    Failing is one of the major consequences of not being responsible academically. There are several causes for failure in college. Some of them include: letting other activities get in the way, understanding the amount of work that is required of you, and failure to assume any responsibilities.   (Causes of Failure in College)
Team Work
      If you are in a team and are not doing your part, then that affects the outcome of the teams work, and possibly even the team’s grade. You must be attentive and stay on track of the tasks that are to be completed by you and what tasks you are needed in when collaborating with your team.
      Being a successful student means that you have taken responsibility and have done what is expected of you. You turned that assignment in on time, and went to class every day. In conclusion, you can see that personal responsibility is not something that you should take lightly.
