Understanding Nature
The word nature can be used in a range of different contexts in the English language. The meaning of nature can be associated with the environment or an individual’s personal skills, talents, character, temperament, personality or instinctive behavior.
The way we view nature depends on knowledge and understanding and cultural upbringing, the way I view nature will be different to the way someone else will view nature. Our sense of nature can be influences of different factors which include our physical surroundings. My perspective of nature are the trees, the birds, the wind, the waves, the mountains, the rivers. Our connection with nature also determines the way nature is played out. For example, someone who has lived in a rural area will understand or have possess more knowledge on nature in comparison to a person who lived in urban areas.
In retrospect, my understanding of nature comes entirely from my upbringing and my personal recollection of how nature has an impact on my life.

Motivations for Outdoor Experiences
Motivation is the consequential or subsequent act that drives a person to attain their intended goals objectives which is fuelled by ambition and inspiration.
People seek outdoor experiences simply and mostly because they enjoy the physical surroundings of the outdoor environment. Others seek spiritual connections with the outside environment, they may relate to the landscape due to cultural beliefs, for example the Aborigines who have had a special tie with the land for a very long time because of their cultural belief that the land is sacred. Often we find ourselves camping out because we enjoy the lifestyle, the thrill, the adventure which leads to becoming a leisure. Some people seek outdoor experiences because of the things they have missed out in their life, some others seek outdoor experience to keep fit and healthy, and others seek outdoor experiences because staying indoors is simply boring...
