1) Description of George and Lennie
George is a small, quick, dark faced man with restless eyes and sharp strong features. He has small strong hands with slender arms.

Although he seems to take care of Lennie, he speaks to him harshly at times, often getting very impatient with him.

He acts suspiciously towards people that he is not familiar with, often afraid that Lennie will tell of the circumstances that caused them to leave Weed,
Lennie Small is a huge man with a shapeless face, large pale eyes and wide sloping shoulders. He is totally dependant on George “Me and him goes every place together.”
He has a child’s mind in a man’s body as Slim quotes “He’s jes like a kid.” Lennie although childlike is described in terms of an animal more than a child. He is compared to a bear “the way a bear drags his paws.” He means no harm but just doesn’t realize his own strength. He may be childlike and innocent but he knows first hand how to make George feel guilty “An I won’t get no mice stole from me.”
Lennie reveals that he cannot control himself and has no judgement. Things are either good or bad for Lennie depending on what George will think “I done a real bad thing” Lennie says “I shouldn’t have did that. George’ll be mad.”
