a famous unusual character
Moses the one and only who lives in every mans house in our small town of Leslie. I sometimes wonder why he is so famous. Why does everyone know him more than their own families? As he speaks we crash out laughing as he walks we imitate but yet we not so famous like him.
Walking with my uncle’s shoes and my neighbor’s grandfather’s shirt is this one and only Moses I admire. Living of that two rand I throw by spar and eating that food I couldn’t finish. Thanks to him or else it would be forced down my neck. Thanks to him or else children wouldn’t listen, eat and be lazy. What fear I had for him when I was small that I dared not to go outside after 6-o-clock as he walked around.
Now that I’m grown up and feel what life is I feel him sorry. As I pass that age of mocking I feel what a fool I was to a man who did no wrong but was just less fortunate. Why didn’t I give him the two rand I wanted to give him in his hand but I felt let me throw it at him, what a fool I was.
A lesson for one and all to ponder of is the day Moses closes his eyes his gone be put in the ground the same place what I’m gone go to. Insects eating of my flash so now let me think who is the true hobo.
