A. Instructor Background
We will be looking at a mobile screening company that is based in Florida with mobile units throughout the United States. The mobile units are 40 foot blue bird buses that have been customized to accommodate healthcare screening. They perform heart and stroke preventative screenings. We will be evaluating whether adding an EMR system in every mobile unit is a wise and profitable venture.
Healthfair is a mobile preventative screening company that does heart and stroke testing. They are a nationwide company that is based in Winter Park, Florida. They have 40 foot buses that are strategically located without the United States. They buses are equipped with two patient rooms one on each end of the bus. There is a front desk right when the patients walk in along with a small waiting room that can hold about six patients. Healthfair does not take any form of insurance. Their services are very affordable for the tests that are being performed. Also along with the affordability of our service, the convenience of being able to do all tests in one location keeps our clients from having to go to several different facilities to receive their tests. Our appointments range from about 45 minutes to an hour. They provide test from blood tests, EKG’s, echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds, Peripheral arterial disease testing and also Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Ultrasounds.
