Evangelism: Romans Roads
The Romans Road to salvation is considered to be a simple and efficient way to find and receive the gift of salvation. Dr. Earley and Dr. Wheeler (2010) state, “Salvation is the way of explaining the good news of salvation…it is a simple, yet powerful method explaining, why we need salvation, how God provided salvation, how we can receive salvation and the results…” (p. 331). Many people are unsure if they even need salvation. God makes it very clear that as soon as we step onto the Romans Road path, everyone is in need of salvation. Salvation is the only thing that saves a person from an eternal death.
The Romans Road Methods of evangelism are a few selected verses that are to help bring a person to salvation in short easy steps. Romans 2:23, (NKJV) states, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Scripture from the book of Romans walks us one step at a time to reveal the cost for sin is death; this does not mean once we die we are cleared, for everyone dies at some time (Romans, 6:23, NKJV). This means spiritual and eternal death; our spirit is cast into an eternal judgment. The urgency that all are sinners and salvation is needed is clearly revealed in a few verses of Scripture. Romans Road is designed for an unbeliever to realize through this simple explanation pertaining to our condition of sin and for the unbeliever to understand his or her need for salvation. People need to realize the need for concern, that everyone is a sinner, before he or she desires to seek a solution. What is...
