Joseph Dunns Leadership and Organizational Philosophy
Dunn’s ability as a leader will be measured by the achievements of the led and that should develop his basic definition of leadership. He should use knowledge, skills and relationships to motivate, encourage, and mentor others in the achievement of common goals.
Joseph’s leadership philosophy is based upon his collective life experiences, observations, successes, and failures. He views leadership as a journey taken together by leaders and followers to a common destination. He establishes a plan, a map to help him organize and ensure they have an appropriate and effective team in place, clearly communicate the plan to and lead their followers to the destination. Dunn defines and refines his missions and consistently and they continuously communicate with George the objectives and milestones required to achieve success, for it is essential for Joseph and George to not only to understand where the organization is and where it needs to go, but also how it will get there.
He must actively consider and pursue the input of clients and client stakeholders in offering solutions. In order to succeed in and further develop the ski and deli business, he must help all the new deli staff to develop their own skills, and empower them to control everything under their authority.
For the merger of this two businesses, Joseph and George could discuss on the services offering. Joseph has no idea of the business he is getting into therefore it is recommend that joseph works with George closely so as to better understand the business.
