John Deere Background

      John Deere is a company which was founded in the year 1837 by a man called John Deere. Deere was a blacksmith whom after moving to the city of Grand Detour, Illinois in the year 1936, he was able to go off a fresh start by being a skilled and hardworking resource that developed products which helped make the jobs of farmers easier. As a result, in the year 1948, Deere moved back to his land in Moline, Illinois where his company gained an advantage of producing approximately 1600 plows in comparison to only 100 which were made when he worked in Gran Detour. As a result, today, Deere is a large and successful business dedicated to help the work of different land workers easier, for example the work of farmers, ranchers, landowners, builders, and loggers.

      Today, Deere is a multinational billion dollar business which has successfully grown due to the company’s core values, leadership, and strategies. John Deere is a company whose main strategy for success is being very selective when they choose their suppliers and dealers. Equally, they support the core values of integrity, quality, commitment, and innovation. Due to those strategy and values, Deere has become a company in which the quality of their product is amongst the best leading to their John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. In this Excellence Program, Deere evaluates their suppliers to fulfill five key areas: quality, delivery, cost management, wavelength, and technical support. John Deere is a trademark which has been a symbol of quality product for more than 135 years according their webpage.
