HUMAN SERVICE PROFESSIONAL’S RESPOSIBILITY TO THE CLIENT
We as Human Service Professional’s have to set boundaries with our clients. We help the client to set goals and look out for the well being and welfare of the client. If we think that the client is harmful to himself or to the community, then we must take appropriate actions. We must respect the privacy and confidentiality of the client unless we have written consent to share information about the client. We do not have relationships with clients.(I . e. sexual) We realize the right to service’s or to refuse service .We help the client to build on their strengths and understand their weakness’s and advocate for the right’s of the client and the community . We are aware of the environmental impact on the client .We recognize the needs in the community .We let our Qualifications be known and keep up to date on programs to better help our clients. We do not discriminate when it comes to treatment; also we realize the impact of multi-cultural community’s.

We avoid having the same helping relationship with our client as another professional. When we have a problem with another colleague; we keep it in house unless it becomes harmful to the clients or the community.
