I am Brazilian and Japanese descendant, a very common situation in Brazil, especially in Sao Paulo, where I was born and lived my entire life. I have been working at Abc for nine years now and during this period I worked at different departments such as Maintenance, Finance and Marketing. Now I’m ready for new challenges and responsibilities. I have a dream: to be the first of my family to hold an MBA degree from a top American business school. My parents are role models to my development, because they have been working and studying since I remember.
Having worked in various departments, with completely different subjects among them, I believe I developed a very broad view of how an organization works, or at least how it should work. My working experience allows me to conclude that the authority of a leader is not done by arrogance but by examples of good and wise actions, based on facts and realistic analysis. I had opportunities to work with different bosses, each with its own characteristics, but I can ensure that the best results came through by cooperation and not by authoritarianism.
Working at Abc, I became a specialist in semi manufactured copper products, a very unusual specialization nowadays. Because of my career progression and, specially, because of my current position, Competitive Intelligence Analyst, I have to study different subjects of a business, developing knowledge that I had never thought it would be important for me, for example, I can talk about an advertisement and its effects to the business or discuss about the chemical composition of an alloy and why it is not recommended for a specific product.
