This was the most vigorous earthquake Japan had ever encountered. Many lives had been lost in this calamitous incident. The Japan earthquake had caused the tsunami, leaving massive destruction everywhere, which had a large impact on the death toll.
To begin with, earthquakes are big deals when they happen. They cause pandemonium and desolate family members. The magnitude of this earthquake was 8.9 and that’s high on the rictor scale. The earthquake was not the only thing Japan had confronted. According to CNN “the 8.9 – magnitude trembler, killed hundreds of people, it caused the formation of 30 – foot walls of water that dragged houses onto highway, engulfed entire towns, and tossed cars and boats like toys,” The tsunami had dragged the Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures, damaging costal communities.
Moreover, the earthquake and the tsunami combined together had caused so much destruction to Japan. The earthquake was the fifth largest in the world since 1900 (BBC). About four million houses in Tokyo had suffered power cuts. They were lots of fires that broke out adding more to the annihilation. Homes had been smashed and washed away. Buildings had collapsed and cars were crushed like broken glass.
Finally, the death toll in Japan had reached over 10,000 and over 16,000 people were missing (Huffington Post). Many family members had lost there sons, fathers, mothers, and daughters. This had impacted people mentally and physically. It was really depressing how many people lost their lives in this earthquake. Many children do not even have a home or parents anymore. It is all so devastating of what happened to Japan.

In conclusion, The Japan earthquake had caused the tsunami, leaving massive destruction everywhere, which had a large impact on the death toll. Japan had faced something so audacious and miserable.
