Dear New York University,
Hello there. How are you? I know you probably didn't expect this from me or the fact that you probably don't even know who I am or what I'm about. But please, let me enlighten you. Hello, my name is Tiquila De Guzman. Enchanté. I've been contemplating whether or not to give this letter to you; this “love letter”, more so of an admiration letter really. I've been admiring you and the whole aspect of your beautiful community for a very long time. You have what I need, and let me assure you that I can be a good asset to your university. I have many qualities that you might want to consider. After 3 years of being in a Career and Technical Academy, I have the knowledge and the experience to enamor you. I am very passionate and I have the drive that you are looking for to strive for success. I am also diligent once I set my mind to it.
New York is an extraordinary place with even more extraordinary people. I've been dreaming to be living at a place full of life. Waking up every morning, looking out at the big apple, knowing all that hard work had paid off is such a satisfying feeling. You see, being accepted to be a member of a university like yours is not only an honor, it is a one time privilege. Being the second family member to finish high school is definitely an accomplishment.
