With the struggling economy, businesses have found that in order to keep customers shopping at their store. Often a loyalty rewards program is created for that specific purpose. Companies create these loyalty programs in an attempt to keep their business flowing with customers. Loyalty programs offer customers either points toward discounts on their products or towards gifts from third party businesses. There are obvious rewards for the customers to have loyalty programs, however there are issues for customers to worry.
Kudler Fine Foods are focusing their attention to a new program to grab customers to keep on shopping with them. This new program is to be a loyalty rewards program for continuing customers to receive gifts with purchases from them. The ideal of this rewards program is for loyal customers to collect points with every product they purchase from Kudler Fine Foods. The reward for loyal customer whom collect enough points are to be gifts from third parties/businesses. Right away any customer who has been loyal with Kudler Fine Food from the beginning will be excited for this new program. However this rewards program has risk that customers do not think about right as they sign up for the program.
For rewards program with any company there are risks for consumers to worry about. A major risk for consumers to think about is security. Most consumers do not realize that the moment that he/she sign up for the loyalty program, their purchases get tracked by the company. As well that company offering the rewards program can be hacked into therefore the customers information can be leaked to criminals. In addition to the security risk, there is a risk for Kudler’s customers to be hassled by the third parties/businesses that are offering the gifts.
