Welcome to “A Trip of Value” where you can travel through time and experience the top ten must see art works from all over the world! We will travel through the time period of 100 BCE, with “The Venus de Milo” by Alexandros of Antioch, through the time period of 1937 with Pablo Picasso’s “Guernica.” We have ten beautiful pieces displayed throughout the show. So sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

The Mona Lisa is the masterpiece of all masterpieces. This painting is one the most famous, most talked about and most mysterious of all paintings. It is a painting of a woman, said to be named Lisa Gherardini. Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa between the years of 1503 and 1506, in Florence Italy. It has been on display in Paris since 1797. In 1911, the painting was stolen by a handy man that worked at the Louvre. In 1913, the painting was returned to the Louvre. The depicted smile has continuously captured the world's imagination ever since.

The Last Super was painted by Leonardo da Vinci from 1495 to 1498. The Duke of Milan wanted Leonardo to paint this religious scene. The painting was the first portrait to depict biblical characters displaying common human emotions. The composition’s perspective is flawless, as its center point is precisely at Christ’s head. The painting does have a religious significance.

The Sistine Chapel’s Creation of Adam is a fresco painting by Michelangelo painted in 1511. The painting forms part of the Sistine Chapel ceiling in Vatican City. The image is a Biblical creation narrative from the Book of Genesis in which God creates Adam. The focal point of the painting is the contact between the fingers of God and those of Adam’s, in which the breath of life is transmitted. Michelangelo left a small space between God and Adam’s fingers creating a tingling tension, anticipating the moment for God to create Adam.
