Social anxiety disorder has a very long run in history; ever since the human established their own society, and dating as far back as 400 B.C. In this new era of technology, due to the interfering of the internet, social phobia seems to be on the raise. According to a study done by psychologist of University in Central Florida, social phobia is the third largest population of psychological disorder, only behind depression and alcoholism. Studies were made to assess the issue of social phobia, and treatments were also available for patients. The only issue is that patients need to find the strength and persistency in dealing with their disorder since it is quite difficult in this technology engulfed time where the internet has provide a perfect hiding spot for patient with social anxiety disorder.  

Social Anxiety
Ever since the humanity established their very first society, to form a tribe to gain a type of structure and developed a hierarchy among themselves; they developed anxiety along the way. One of the biggest fears among human is speaking in front of other, especially in front of a large crew, but that was consider normal to most people. However, when a person experiences that type of fear accelerate to a higher level, unreasonable and without knowing why- it becomes social phobia or social anxiety disorder. What make it worse is that social anxiety disorder is accelerating quickly in this era; where people are too used to their comfort zone and they are less likely to step out of their eggshell to communicate. This new era of present day provide us as human being with too many comfort, we can communicate with friends and family member thousands of miles away by just simply clicking on a computer. With the help of the internet, more and more people do not need to step out of their homes to get what they need to survive.
