Is the American Dream Real?
The American Dream is what would be considered has "perfect life." It can be full of happiness, money, love, food, cars, everyone has a different opinion. One person’s American Dream may be totally different from someone else’s, that is what makes us all individuals. My American Dream would include a good job and lots of money, spare time for my family and I, and most importantly, healthiness. It seems that so often the subject of economic standing and wealth, are said synonymously with the phrase "The American Dream". It seems that it takes money to be happy and high economic status to be accepted, however, many people who fall into this trap out of ignorance will never achieve "The American Dream" they strive towards.
Since the start of the twentieth century America has attracted people all over the world to relocate and start a new life. For many, coming to America was a chance for a better life and new things. They all had something in common because they all had a dream, and that dream was the "American Dream". In the present day the desire to achieve the dream has changed. Generation after generation, individuals and families have come to this land we call America in high hopes of them becoming a successful life. They come in high hopes of finding a job to support their family back home and in creating a new family here. These generations do not stop here but will only continue for the time to come. The “American Dream” is not something they simply hope to attain one day, but are willing to work for it. By whatever means necessary they are willing to work for their dream.
Back in Haiti many people dream of coming to America. To them America is known as the land of opportunity where money just falls of the tree and everything is peachy.
