lexander Graham Bell was born on March 3rd 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Alexander was known for inventing the first known telephone. As a young boy, Bell released a natural curiosity about his own world. From his early years of life, Bell showed sensitive nature and an ability of art, poetry, and music that was suggested by his mother. With barely any training Bell mastered the piano and became his family’s pianist. Also in his young years of life Bell, received his early schooling at home from his father. He was enrolled and put into the Royal High School. At the age of 19, Bell wrote and developed a report on his work and sent it to a philologist named Alexander Ellis, Ellis was a colleague of Bell’s father. By 1847 Bell’s work on the harmonic telegraph had begun a formative stage. In March 1875, Bell and Pollok visited the famous scientist named Joseph Henry, Henry said to Bell that Bell had “The Germ Of A Great Invention’’. Bell and his assistant Charles Sumner Tainter together invented a wireless telephone named the photophone. On one of his trips to America, Bells father discovered its healthier environment and decided to move the family there. When Bell first heard of the idea he resisted, but eventually relented after both his brothers had been diagnosed with tuberculosis. In 1871, Alexander Graham Bell moved to Boston and began work on a special device that would allow for the telegraph transmission of several messages set to different frequencies. He found financial backing through local investors Thomas Sanders and Gardiner Hubbard. Between 1873 and 1874, Bell spent long days and nights trying to perfect the harmonic telegraph. During his experiments, he became interested in other ideas, transmitting the human voice over wires. This diversion frustrated Bell’s benefactors and also Thomas Watson, Watson was a skilled electrician.
